day ninety-four - is 7:30am a real time?
Tomorrow morning, on the eve of the end of daylight savings, at a time that I only though to be a myth, my addled, ineloquent, stuttery mumble will be broadcast across the airways on ABC radio and streaming around the world. Yikes!
I jest, but it’s very rare that I’m actually awake and functioning at 7:30am - there’s probably a higher chance that I’ve pulled an all nighter than me waking up before then naturally.
With all the problems sleeping I’ve been having lately, and the morning Zombie that I’ve become, it’s going to be interesting to see if I’m able to sleep enough tonight to be able to wake up with half a brain and be able to talk about the project with any kind of clarity or composure.
I’m incredibly honoured to have been given this opportunity. But it is daunting. I struggle with public speaking at the best of times, and I can feel my anxiety rising. But tomorrow is coming. It is inevitable, and hopefully, in light of the constant news we are being inundated with, a weird bloke in a kilt may bring some levity to someone listening.
So wish me luck eh? Perhaps I’ll soak up a good nanna nap this afternoon to try to recharge. The only thing I’ve got in the bag is my radio face and fingers crossed!
