day one hundred and eighty-four - juggling beers
I think of my drinking a little like I think of my juggling. Now for this to make sense, first a little backstory. I like to juggle. I’ve been doing it for decades now. I travel to conventions, I’ve been lucky enough to meet some of the finest jugglers in the world. Some of my very closest friends are from the juggling community. It’s a place I feel at home. I love the nerdiness of the numbers and juggling theory. I used to train quite a lot… it’s a thing.
So with this in mind, to a non-juggler, if you see me juggle, many would say “Wow. You’re a really good juggler”, but if you’re a juggler… like, a proper juggler, they’re far more likely to compliment me on my shoes than my juggling. In the real world of professional juggling, I’m rubbish.
To a teetotaler, there are times when I could be seen as a raging alcoholic, but to the raging alcoholic, I’m a lightweight (but perhaps one with promise).
I’d much prefer to be a better juggler than drinker, though lately, that preference doesn’t match my actions.
Maybe this month, I should take my mind off the lack of beverages and get back to working on my 4 ball mills mess again.
