Water Music - Bushfire Benefit Concert

On the 28th of November 2019, my father and I premiered a work commissioned for the 100th anniversary of the ‘turning of the sod’ and commencement of construction of the Hume Dam.

It is the first work that we have ever composed together, and while we have performed in orchestras and big bands together, it was the first duet we ever performed. Water Music is truly one of the things I’m most proud of musically.

On this day, we will be performing it for the second time as part of a Bushfire Benefit Concert held at St. Matthews Church in Albury, and organised by the wonderful human, Fr. Peter Macleod Miller.

Also performing are; Australian opera’s favourite mezzo soprano, Sally-Ann Russell, Violinist Kaori Sparks, Oboist Scott Marshall, Violinist Damien Jones and Cellist Catriona Byles, and several others.

Entry is $20 with all proceeds going immediately to the Wodonga Belvoir Rotary Project rebuilding fences to assist in the area around Corryong and the alpine region.
