The Push-Up Challenge 2021

The Push Up Challenge 2021

TPUC_21_3318_pushups_completed.jpeg

One pushup for each person in Australia who died by suicide in a calendar year.

Last year, there were 3046 pushups from 2018.

This year, 2019, there are 3318. That’s the wrong way for things to be going.

That’s a lot of weight in every pushup, each being one too many, each signifying a tragedy.
For each push-up, I really tried to be cognisant of what it all means.

Last year, I had an amazing team of friends who jumped onboard the Kilt Life Crisis team, and worked together for this common goal. This year, I’m going it alone.

I wanted to raise some much needed money from Albury Wodonga Headspace, our local Youth Mental Health organisation.
